Slammed Home: New Card Highlights

Some players hunted wins. Allen Iverson hunted nightmares. This Wild Card Monster Hit 1/1 places "The Answer" face-to-face with a creature worthy of his legendary scoring attacks, creating a one-of-a-kind card that's as fierce as the player it celebrates.

Before today's ultra-premium cards, there was E-Xciting. This stunning die-cut Shaquille O'Neal insert combines futuristic design, brilliant foil colors, and Hall of Fame star power into one unforgettable card. Few late-90s inserts capture the energy of the era better than this one. If you're building a serious Shaq collection, this is the type of card that gets noticed.
Own a piece of NBA All-Star history with this Kobe Bryant memorabilia card featuring a game-used event-worn jersey swatch from the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. Bryant's legendary career included five NBA championships, two Finals MVP awards, and 18 All-Star selections. A standout collectible honoring one of basketball's most iconic superstars.
LeBron James remains one of the most collectible athletes in the hobby, and this 2025-26 Topps Finest Pulse SSP showcases the NBA's all-time leading scorer in spectacular fashion. Featuring a dazzling short-print design and one of basketball's most iconic players, this card is a centerpiece-worthy addition for LeBron, Lakers, and modern basketball collectors alike.

Spotlight Card
Julius "Dr. J" Erving remains one of the most iconic figures in Philadelphia sports history. A Basketball Hall of Famer, NBA champion, NBA Most Valuable Player, 11-time NBA All-Star, and one of the few players ever to score more than 30,000 combined ABA and NBA points, Erving helped revolutionize the game with his above-the-rim style and electrifying athleticism. His leadership and championship pedigree guided the 76ers to their unforgettable 1983 NBA title, cementing his legacy as one of basketball's all-time greats. As the Sixers open a new season with a retooled roster and renewed championship aspirations, fans can only hope this exciting new era captures some of the same magic that Dr. J brought to Philadelphia more than four decades ago. This autograph card celebrates the enduring legacy of a player who helped define what championship basketball means in the City of Brotherly Love.
Goal Statement.
For me, a card can instantly bring back a memory. Whether it was pulling a Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck rookie at an end-of-season swim meet, heading to my first card show with my dad in search of the Don Mattingly Donruss rookie I was convinced I needed, or my mom tracking down a Wawa that had received its Fleer shipment so we could chase the infamous Billy Ripken card, each experience became about far more than the card itself. As a family, we ripped packs together and celebrated big pulls, like an Albert Pujols autograph card, creating memories that have lasted far longer than the cardboard.
The hobby also taught life lessons. I learned some hard truths on the playground when an Ozzie Smith rookie was traded away for a Ryne Sandberg and a handful of Steve Garveys, a player I loved after meeting during a family vacation in Vero Beach. I still remember standing in my sixth-grade locker room with its bright yellow lockers when someone opened a binder and showed me a David Robinson rookie card for the first time, expanding my world beyond baseball and opening the door to collecting other sports.
Sports cards connected me to places, players, and communities far beyond my hometown. They made a box score from Seattle matter. They deepened my connection to the stories and history of sports. They created opportunities, like working at the 1996 All-Star Fanfest alongside the owner of The Infield in Glenside and witnessing the incredible energy Philadelphia brought to the hobby.
We want Slam Sports Cards to be more than a place to buy and sell cards. We want it to be a gathering place where people share stories, celebrate the history of sports, enjoy the excitement of collecting, and create lasting memories with family and friends. Success for us isn't measured simply by sales, but by building a welcoming home for collectors of all ages and experience levels.
We hope every customer who walks through our doors feels part of something bigger, because the best part of this hobby has never been the cards themselves. It's the memories, friendships, and community they create.
Our Family's Place in Sports History
A Tradition of Sporting Greatness
Innovative Milestones in Professional Golf
My grandfather, Jim Hogg, led the Plymouth Golf Ball Company as President before joining the executive ranks at Shakespeare Sporting Goods. It was during his impactful leadership that he brought on visionaries like Frank Thomas, who successfully engineered the first viable graphite shafts at the Plymouth facility—a monumental shift that forever changed how the game is played and how modern clubs are built.
Celebrating the Athletic Impact of Charles H. Landreth
My other grandfather, Charles H. Landreth, stood as an esteemed leader within the Philadelphia athletic and academic landscape. His enduring dedication to fostering local sports was celebrated with the dedication of Landreth Field at Chestnut Hill Academy, a permanent tribute to his significant legacy. Charles H. Landreth was a brilliant baseball player and member of the 1929 championship-winning team at Chestnut Hill Academy.

Trade Your Cards
Looking to move cards you no longer collect? We accept trade-ins toward many of the items we have in stock, giving collectors another way to turn unwanted cards into something they'll enjoy.
To qualify for trade, cards must have current market demand and be attractive to other collectors. We focus on items that are easy to resell, including key rookies, star players, autographs, graded cards, serial-numbered cards, and other desirable collectibles.
Trade Guidelines
Trade items must have strong collector demand and resale potential.
Trade values are based on recent sales and current market conditions.
Most trades are not completed at equal market value, and trade offers typically reflect less than current market value.
Highly liquid, in-demand cards may receive more competitive trade offers.
Not all cards or collections will qualify for trade.
Our goal is to make fair trades that help collectors turn cards they no longer want into cards they'll be excited to own.
Bring your cards in and let's see what we can work out. We're always looking for great inventory and are happy to evaluate potential trades.
What We Buy
At Slam Sports Cards, we purchase quality sports cards and collections. We are especially interested in cards featuring Philadelphia-area athletes, teams, and sports history. We also seek cards of legendary athletes and iconic sports figures including Hall of Famers, all-time greats, and national stars from any sport. We may be selective when evaluating players and teams outside our primary focus to concentrate on cards that match our local community. Offers are based on market conditions, condition, rarity, demand, and costs. We strive for fair, competitive offers and a straightforward selling experience.
Please Note: We are currently focused on merchandising and selling through portions of our existing inventory and may be selective when considering new purchases. However, we remain interested in exceptional, rare, historically significant, or otherwise unique sports cards and collections. Even when we are not actively purchasing, we are always happy to review items, provide guidance, and help collectors better understand the current market value of their cards.
